This cart takes a 31.5 by 15.75 inch top from 28.3 to 46.1 inches on wheels, with a shelf and a cup holder built in, so the whole working position moves as one object rather than being carried in pieces.
Check before you order. The top is under 16 inches deep, which is enough for a laptop and a mug and not enough for a laptop and an external monitor. This is a mobile working surface rather than a second desk.
What assembly actually means
Assembly is short and the wheels are the part to check. Fit them all before loading the cart, then lock the two braked castors and push the top firmly: any rocking is a castor not fully seated, and it is far easier to find now than with a laptop on top.
What it changes
- Locking castors mean the cart is a desk when it is parked and a trolley when it is not, without any conversion step.
